Dining Chairs

A chair is a unique piece of furniture, requiring attention to many facets of design: aesthetic, strength, and ergonomic. This one was born from multiple prototype revisions to dial in that perfect sit, but also to refine proportions and details. Almost every surface was profiled by hand for a softer feel. Careful wood selection, Cherry in this example, ensures consistency in color and grain pattern across the set. Sturdy mortise and tenon joinery was used throughout to ensure strength. Then a shaped seat covered in full-grain leather finishes it off.
